Kit'Yowa means, 'The Holders of the Keys of Yohowah'. The word 'Cherokee' is pronounced Tsalagi in the Cherokee Indian language. Another name is "Ani'yunwiwa", meaning an Indian Family Of The Creator. Other translations are; The Chosen Ones, The Real Ones, The Principle People, The One Fire Keepers, The Care Takers, The Peacekeepers, The Star Family and The Chee'ra tahgi - Bearers Of The Divine Fire. The last one sounds most reasonable for being accepted as to where the recent name of 'Cherokee' came from, however there are many ideas concerning that possibility. Now days many Cherokee clans, bands, tribes and Nations often call the religious care-taking pathways of The Great Spirit, walking 'The Old One's - White Medicine Way' on Mother Earth. The word 'Medicine' is not originally Kit' Yowa - Cherokee. It is associated with the meaning of multi- healing, spirituality and/or sacred truth. The color "White" designating the ultimate sign of purity is used in that context in both of our cultures. We acknowledge the fact that in both worlds there are people who do not accept the native "sacred life ways" which combines God's truths with man's ideas. As we each research our individual family lines within The Principle People's history, we feel the beauty of the principles of Jesus Christ's "light and truth" calling to us from our Honored Ancient One's genealogies and their
individual lives -- just as those Real People first responded to His real principles as they were first "Re-Beautified"
in body and spirit in the long ago time. These Real People are asking us, their decendents to be allert to and to
understand the parallels they honored, and stand up for those principles as they did while they were here on Mother
Earth thousands of years ago. Sometimes even as His Chosen One's, they would "stray from the beauty of the
"real true path" of the Creators and would need their spirits, as we do at times, to be"Re-made Beautiful" over and
over again in order to be worthy to care-take the Divine Fire of His wonderful truths.
We hope that as you walk among our 13 paths which we have prepared for you, the feeling will affect you as
something "Beautiful" also, and we pray it might be of value to you, and we ask the Spirit of the Lord to speak to your spirit. As Latter-day Saints of our Redeemer who is The Real Son Of The Living God Above, we understand the
principle of our Cherokee "Ancient Blessing Way (the plan for returning home to our Star Family in heaven) and our "latter-day revealed Plan Of Salvation" are the same plan from the Kingdom of our Father in Heaven. They were given to us and to all mankind AT DIFFERENT PERIODS OF MOTHER EARTH'S TIME - from the Great Creator as his eternal living waters of truth.
